Barbie’s first-ever Mobile Tour is coming to Toronto (sponsored post)

I loved playing with Barbie as a little girl. I even inherited some dolls from my mom (though they’d had awful haircuts and some were even missing fingers by the time they went through her four younger sisters and reached me).

For whatever reason, my parents never bought me a single Ken doll, so my Barbies dated and married each other. Yep, I was liberal way back then, too.

Although I desperately wanted Barbie’s Malibu Dreamhouse, I received a Sindy doll house instead . Sindy was Barbie’s cute, plump cousin. Turns out the Malibu property – which has been around since 1971 – was a good investment; earlier this year, Forbes reported that it’s up for sale – for a cool $25 mil.

And what exactly is Barbie to do now that she’s homeless?

Why, go on a North American tour, of course!

The iconic figure is making just two Canadian stops – in Toronto (July 19 to 21) and Vancouver (August 2 to 4).

One of Miss Q’s favourite things to do is play dress-up, and the “Barbie is Moving” Mobile Tour will also let her walk a Barbie-rific runway in a glam fashion show (complete with tips from stylists and a photo opp!).

There’s a Barbie theatre, and children can build their very own Mega Bloks Barbie rooms to take home! And – get this – your budding interior designer can even create a mood board to help inspire Barbie.
