After being introduced to Consonant Skincare (a Canadian skin care and toiletries company) during a holiday preview event for media, it seems to be everywhere. I’ve managed to try not only its hero product — the foaming face wash — but also the deodorant, bath bomb, lip balm, hand cream and a soy candle. I *loved* the bath bomb (it was huge, disintegrated perfectly and filled my soaker tub with all kinds of beautiful smells), lip balm and hand cream. In fact, I found the hand cream on par with L’Occitane’s in terms of hydration but with better ingredients. I liked the face wash but think it would be best for oilier skin as I found it a bit too drying for my normal-combination-ish skin. The soy candle was, well, a candle. It looks nice at the edge of my tub. Smells fine. But the deodorant — like every other “natural” one I’ve tried — made me smell worse than had I not worn any at all. If you generally can’t wear natural deodorants, my guess is that this one will behave the same way. I really like Consonant’s clean, unisex packaging and clever writing, though, and am moved to try more from this skincare line as it expands to brick and mortar shops.

I love their deodorant! By far the best I’ve reviewed compared to others. But each body is different. I wish it worked for you. 🙁
