The movie: FROZEN (Disney)
When it was available: March 18, 2014
What it’s about: Have you been living under a rock? You know the story. And if you really don’t or you want to read about Miss Q’s reaction, you can check out my original FROZEN movie review for the deets.
Thoughts on the bonus features:
- The kids really liked watching the deleted scenes, even if they’re not done in the sophisticated CG style like the rest of the movie
- They watched the Demi Lovato music video but kept asking who was being Elsa
- I feel strongly that the option for karaoke-style singalongs are missing on this DVD. I mean, the whole movie came out in theatres as a sing-a-long!
- The story about how Hans Christian Anderson’s “Snow Queen” morphed into FROZEN was especially fascinating because we own the Snow Queen on DVD, so the kids were familiar with the story
- We loved seeing the drawings one of the animators had created for a Disney World ride, and how they so closely resembled some of the animation in FROZEN
The verdict? Of course you need this for your home entertainment collection. And I LOVE combo packs for the digital versions; adding movies to the iPod Touch when you’re travelling? Priceless.
