(My ultimate hotel Mont-Tremblant guide was updated on Feb. 22, 2023, and now includes our experience with dog-friendly Tremblant hotels.)
You probably landed here after searching “hotel Mont Tremblant” on The Google. And I’m so glad you did, because Tremblant is our happy place and we visit as often as a six-hour road trip and playing hooky from school allow — in all seasons, too.
We’ve stayed in just about every category of Mont Tremblant accommodations — from chalets built into the mountainside, overlooking the lower village and people-moving cabriolet, to the most luxurious hotels right in the Mont Tremblant village, to budget-friendly hotels on the outskirts of town.
I’ll not only walk you through the best hotels in Tremblant (according to me, a picky hotel-goer with extensive Tremblant expertise), but I’ll also give you:
- A general outline of the average nightly cost
- $ = typically less than $250 per night for the average family of four like mine
- $$ = typically between $250-500 per night for the average family of four like mine
- $$$ = typically more than $500 per night for the average family of four like mine
- Each property’s website & phone number
- Each property’s general location
- My thoughts on to whom each lodging option is best suited and the ideal season for each hotel, chalet or condo
In The Before Times, I also would have noted amenities like free breakfasts, hot tubs and swimming pools, but since COVID has changed so much and the guidelines will continue to evolve, I’m going to leave this piece out for now and instead direct you to each website for the most current information.
And be sure to watch for updates, too — we try to stay in new Mont Tremblant accommodations every visit, and I’ll ensure an updated time stamp is added at the top of this post when I’ve added another property. You may want to clear your cache and refresh this page if you come back, though, just to be sure you can see the updates.
As you start planning your Mont Tremblant getaway, whether it’s with friends, family, kids or a solo adventure, be sure to bookmark my comprehensive guide to Mont-Tremblant restaurants, both in the pedestrian village and in Old Tremblant.
Hotel Mont Tremblant guide: the best hotels in Tremblant
So you want to stay right in the thick of it in the pedestrian village? I don’t blame you. Convenience comes out on top here — especially in the winter months when lugging equipment from outside the village can be a pain, even without kids in tow — and just because your hotel or condo is in the village doesn’t mean you have to blow your vacation budget on accommodations. Don’t worry: there are still budget-friendly hotels in Mont Tremblant village.
Sommet des Neiges | $$$
- Website | +1 (819) 681-9000
- Location: Upper Mont Tremblant village
- Best for: Big groups & families, skiers

If you’re only a couple of snowboarders, you’ll find the in-house ski lockers at Sommet des Neiges will work for you but a family of snowboarders will be out of luck and need to use the paid Valet Ski hut near the gondola to store gear overnight. But for ski families, especially those who want kitchen facilities, Sommet des Neiges offers a remarkable location at the foot of Mont-Tremblant that’s nearly ski-in/out. Adjacent to the bunny hill, this all-suite property has one-, two- and three-bedroom options — all with full kitchens. Don’t expect luxury but be confident knowing you’ll be in a clean, cozy space with plenty of room for everyone travelling with you. (Read my feature review of this property here.)
Residence Inn Mont-Tremblant Manoir Labelle | $$
- Website | +1 (819) 681-4000
- Location: Lower Mont Tremblant village
- Best for: Small & large families
Located mid-village, right underneath the village’s iconic cabriolet, the Residence Inn Tremblant is quite a gem. Within easy walking distance of myriad shops and restaurants, it’s at the centre of it all yet offers a quiet respite from the bustling activity of the mountain and Mont Tremblant village. We stayed in a two-floor room, which had a loft bedroom with two double beds and ensuite; the main floor had a bedroom with a king bed and a washroom shared with the living space, which had a kitchenette and a living room with a queen pull-out sofa! It was a HUGE space. I know a family of seven who stayed here and raved about their experience, too. Over the years, we’ve seen more deer hanging out at this hotel than any other — consider carrying around some baby carrots with you if you’re staying here because they will eat right out of your hand!
Fairmont Tremblant | $$$
- Website | +1 (819) 681-4000
- Location: Upper Mont Tremblant village
- Best for: Dog owners, luxury travellers & those looking for true ski-in/out

Other than perhaps the Quintessence — which I won’t know until I stay there myself — and some of the high-end suites at Le Westin, the Fairmont Tremblant is the spot to get your luxe on. Like Fairmont properties around the globe, traditional decor full of character will greet you at every turn and the service will be impeccable. There are restaurants and bars onsite and an in-house ski valet. Your skis and poles will be handed to you and you can ski down to a chair lift or the gondola directly from the Fairmont’s side door, and ski back to it from the mountain’s gorgeous six-kilometre Nansen run. For new skiers and snowboarders, the Fairmont is also positioned for the easiest access to the best of the two bunny hills. There’s a lovely spa, of course, but the real star of the show here are the heated — and licensed — outdoor pools. (Read my feature review of this property here.)
The Fairmont Mont-Tremblant is also one of only three hotels in (or in very close proximity to) the pedestrian village. For $48/night (plus tax), bring your furry family member along with you to be treated like the Duke or — in our case, Duchess — s/he is.

Holiday Inn Tremblant | $$
- Website | +1 (819) 681-5555
- Location: Lower Mont Tremblant village
- Best for: Budget travellers who want to stay in the village

Although you’ll be hard-pressed to find a room for less than $250 at the Holiday Inn & Suites Mont Tremblant, when it comes to hotels in the pedestrian village, you won’t find anything much more budget-friendly than this one. Like all Holiday Inn & Suites, you’ll find clean, comfortable rooms and some that are even appointed with kitchenettes or full kitchens. There are no rooms with king beds, though, so if you’re travelling with a partner and kids, be prepared to sleep more closely than you may be used to and/or to play musical beds a little bit as you find the best configuration. Being just steps from the cabriolet means it’s pretty easy to cart gear to and from the hill each day, as long as you head back down before it shuts down for the night. (Read my feature review of this property here.)
Ermitage du Lac | $$
- Website | +1 (819) 681-2222
- Location: Lower Mont Tremblant village
- Best for: Couples & families who want a quiet getaway
Tucked away beyond a path behind the Holiday Inn, Ermitage du Lac is insulated by huge trees that make the property feel more isolated than it really is. A short walk to the cabriolet, booking at L’Ermitage will reward you with large, condo-style rooms with a home-away-from-home vibe and access to the comforts you’re used to in your own kitchen, saving you money on eating out. You won’t hear anything while you try to sleep, even as big groups of raucous youngsters leave the village to catch UBERs after après that went on far too late.
Le Westin Tremblant | $$$
- Website | +1 (819) 681-8000
- Location: Mid-Mont Tremblant village
- Best for: Guests who want the easiest 24-hour access between upper & lower villages

Le Westin has a grand feel and some of its multi-bedroom suites are incredibly luxurious, with granite-laden kitchens featuring gorgeous, modern decor and stainless steel appliances. But there are also smaller, more affordable rooms ideal for average-sized families or those with only children and couples looking for a romantic getaway. Le Westin is uniquely positioned in the Mont Tremblant village to offer the easiest round-the-clock access between the upper and lower villages. As one of the only mid-village hotels, it means that you can get up for First Tracks before the cabriolet starts running or have a late dinner anywhere in the village and have an easy stumble home into your signature Heavenly Beds. Hotel Mont Tremblant guide: hotels near Mont Tremblant
Whether you prefer to leave the village atmosphere after a long day on the slopes, or you’re looking for a true chalet experience, there are some fantastic offsite hotels near Mont Tremblant that are worth considering — especially in the summer months, when transporting gear isn’t required.
If it’s winter and you do plan to stay at one of these properties, though, I highly recommend making use of the Valet Ski hut beside the gondola so you just come and go in your ski boots. While the shuttles are equipped to handle all of your skis and boards, it’s infinitely easier to leave it all at the hill each night.
Be sure to look into Tremblant’s free shuttle and its free and paid VIP parking lots, too, before you pull the trigger on your booking.
Altitude: a luxury Mont-Tremblant chalet rental | $$$
- Website | +1 (888) 932-1131
- Location: 2-minute drive to the Mont Tremblant village & ski-out
- Best for: Seasoned skiers/boarders who want luxe mountain views

You can’t miss he Altitude condos. On your approach to the pedestrian village, the chalets perched on the mountainside to the right are the epitome of everyone’s image of “ski chalet.” They peer onto the resort with unmatched views of Mont Tremblant in all her sun-soaked or snow-capped glory. And with living spaces featuring cathedral ceilings and stone fireplaces, the true chalet experience is at the heart of your stay. Although this is billed as a ski-in/out property, when we stayed here, the ski-out wasn’t ideal for nervous skiers and the ski-in run was actually closed, which meant we had to walk up — in ski boots — a steep side road to get “home” at the end of each day. Not ideal and, unfortunately, the free shuttle doesn’t service these chalets. So I recommend this for more experienced skiers and snowboarders and suggest confirming that ski-in is operational. (Read my feature review of this property here.)
Les Manoirs | $$
- Website | +1 (819) 429-5111
- Location: 3-minute drive to the Mont Tremblant village
- Best for: Summer, spring & fall stays
While we loved the huge layout, free parking and bedroom configuration at Les Manoirs, I don’t recommend this property for winter stays. There are steep stone stairs to get up even to the lower units and even more wooden stairs to reach the upper units. Arriving with bags of ski gear and hoisting it up, up and more up wouldn’t have been fun in the best of times — but was made much more difficult thanks to steps that hadn’t been completely cleared of ice. That said, in snow-free conditions, this block of chalets is right on the free shuttle route and offers enough space for larger groups to spread out, like you’d want for a girlfriend getaway. There are big, cozy living spaces, perfect for creating your own après-ski moments. (Read my feature review of this property here.)
Tremblant Les Eaux | $$
- Website | +1 (888) 221-1411
- Location: 4-minute drive to the Mont Tremblant village
- Best for: Deer spotting and a hideaway feel

We never saw more deer during a single visit than we did during our stay at Tremblant Les Eaux. Walkable to the village in nicer weather, it’s also along the free Tremblant shuttle route for winter vacations. Smaller than and not as luxuriously appointed as Les Manoirs, there’s still a full kitchen and bedrooms aplenty for families of various sizes. In summer, this is a great block of condos to put you in easy walking distance to the Tremblant beachfront. Just be sure you rent a top floor here as soundproofing between the floors isn’t great and if you end up with loud talkers and big walkers, you’ll hear them around the clock if you’re on a bottom unit. (Read my feature review of this property here.)
Chateau Beauvallon | $
- Website | +1 (819) 681-6611
- Location: 6-minute drive to the Mont Tremblant village
- Best for: Budget-conscious travellers who want big bang for their buck

We’ve probably stayed at Chateau Beauvallon the most out of any of the Tremblant hotels listed in this post, and that’s because it offers exceptional value, more than enough space, kitchenettes and a free, on-demand shuttle to the pedestrian village from morning well into the night. We’ve scored two-bedroom suites here for as little as $230 per night, featuring two king beds, a queen Murphy bed and a pullout sofa that — as a family of four — we don’t use, but could easily sleep two additional small children. The decor is nothing to write home about but it’s fine and, most important, every room we’ve ever stayed in has been scrupulously clean and there’s always comfortable bedding. If you can convince yourself to lose a bit of convenience in favour of having more space for a remarkably low nightly cost, this is an outstanding option. Keep in mind these suites have kitchenettes, not full kitchens; that means you have limited space for refrigerated goods. If you’re hoping to do all of your breakfasts and dinners in your room, you may wish to book a different property. (Read my feature review of this property here.)
Hotel Mont Tremblant guide: other Mont Tremblant lodging
Maybe you’re willing to drive to and from the village every day to save yourself a lot on Mont Tremblant lodging costs, or maybe you’re only planning to spend part of your vacation at the mountain and want to be off the beaten path and within easier driving distance of some of the area’s other activities, like dogsledding, ice fishing and snowmobiling. Either way, there are suitable options far outside the Mont Tremblant village worth considering.
Bel Air Resort & Residences | $$
- Website | +1 (819) 681-4000
- Location: 16-minute drive to the Mont Tremblant village
- Best for: Romantic escapes & those looking for remote luxury
Should you be visiting the Tremblant area but don’t plan to be at the resort skiing or snowboarding every day, but instead plan to do a balance with other activities like dogsledding or snowmobiling, you might prefer to stay off the beaten path in a more remote environment. The Bel Air residences are a series of ultra-modern chalets, “domes” and “pods” that cater to couples, families and even larger groups of up to 10 people. Every rental boasts its own private hot tub, which is a huge perk here. Some even have saunas! We stayed in the Andorra Miniloft, but it was before the resort was fully operational and we just couldn’t get a real sense of place. But in terms of the chalet itself, it was stunning from corner to corner. At least at the time, there was no transportation to and from the mountain, so you’ll need to scout out parking at Tremblant. The new family pods at Bel Air Tremblant are high on our list to try out — they look phenomenal.
Looking for winter activities in Mont Tremblant? We’ve done just about all of them and can help guide you.
Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Mont Tremblant | $
- Website | +1 (819) 717-2700
- Location: 11-minute drive to the Mont Tremblant village
- Best for: Families with pets or little kids
Not only is the Microtel Tremblant going to make your dollar go far, it’s also pet-friendly and has a free shuttle to the Mont Tremblant village. The downside is that there are no rooms with king beds, so a typical family of four would be sharing two queens. For many families — especially those with young kids — this is typically doable. I mention it because if you share a bed with a giant like I do, this is the kind of intel you need to have. This is a standard three-star hotel and since it was only built a few years ago, it’s still nice and crisp.
Mont Tremblant hotel deals
There are two ways I search for Mont Tremblant hotel deals: a third-party aggregator like Expedia and on the Tremblant website itself in the “Deals & Packages” section. The last-minute lodging deals can be really good. Be mindful of how each site calculates extra charges like taxes and resort fees and note that if you’re booking a Tremblant-accredited property, you’ll also get extra benefits like Lodging Privileges and Kids Stay Free promos.
One other idea to think about is a fly-and-stay package, through a tour operator like Air Canada Vacations (which flies into the Montreal airport and then provides a transfer and includes lift tickets in your total cost) or Porter Escapes (which includes your flight and hotel, and flies directly to Tremblant’s adorable airport, but does not include the cost of the shuttle from the airport to the hotel or your lift tickets). These can save you some significant coin depending on when you want to go and how flexible you are with accommodations.
