One of the things I sent both my kids off to school with in junior kindergarten was a pack of Kandoo Flushable Wipes.
Both were already potty trained — and had been for at least 18 months before starting school — but wiping seems to be one of those skills that takes extra time to master. (Heck, some days my 43-year-old husband still needs to work on his, er, stroke.)
The packaging is portable and discreet enough that kids can easily keep it in their backpacks and reach for them when nature calls.
In JK, Miss Q actually kept a pack in her classroom’s private bathroom along with her personal potty seat. As a Christmas baby, she was only three when she went off to kindie; having a couple of things that made her school bathroom feel like the one at home helped her transition immensely.
We would simply pack a refill when she ran out, and the design of the dispenser was easy enough for her to reload — not to mention open and close to ensure the wipes stayed wet.
Kandoo wipes are perfect for little hands and ever-so-gentle (hint: the wipes are hypoallergenic!). They also clean wee bums so much better than plain old TP.
Best of all, you (and your school) will be delighted that Kandoo wipes flush like a dream. No clogging and they’re biodegradable, too.
Now that my kids are bigger, don’t think Kandoo doesn’t still make an appearance in our house, and on our travels! It’s not uncommon for me to pack both Boogie Wipes and Kandoo Flushable Wipes in our travel bags for airplane rides. They’re so compact and easy to use in transit. Plus, no matter what’s available in the cabin washrooms — we’re prepared.
So whether you’re just starting potty training, your child needs a little extra comfort at school or you’re packing for your next adventure, Kandoo Flushable Wipes might be the perfect assistant.
DISCLAIMER: Nehemiah Brands, which owns Kandoo, compensated me for this post. I was already a longtime customer so it’s easy to write about them! As always, my opinions are my own.

You know that is not a bad idea. We’ve had some “uncomfortable” situations at school.

My first-born wouldn’t poop at school…I was determined that wouldn’t be the fate of my youngest!
