The first time I ever tried Mary Kay products was in grade 11. I don’t even remember which friend introduced it to me, but I do remember buying an entire set because of the way it made my skin feel.
So I’m not sure why it’s taken me 27 years to try it again, especially since the price point now seems far more within reach than it did when I was making $5.40 an hour at the local Canadian Tire.
Since entering my 40s, I’ve been trying anything and everything to fight the hands of time that seem so determined to make my skin act its age. And Mary Kay’s TimeWise 3D skincare line is another great set of tools you can add to your anti-aging toolbox.
Now, if you’re a total stress case, a smoker, not drinking enough water, hardly sleeping and eating crap, your skin’s going to show it. (Hello! BEEN THERE!) Great skin starts with great preventive measures that go beyond skincare products.
But once you’ve got a handle on that stuff, you want products that are designed to tackle things like sun damage and pollution.
What exactly are the “three Ds” in TimeWise 3D?
- Defends: against age-accelerating free radicals on skin through multiple antioxidant benefits.
- Delays: the look of skin aging with broad-spectrum UVA/UVB protection.
- Delivers: visible improvement of multiple signs of skin aging in four weeks.
The set comes in two distinct formulas – one for normal to dry skin and one for combination to oily skin. And it’s packed with powerful ingredients proven to help with the signs of aging. There’s Encapsulated Resveratrol that creates a more even-looking skin tone and supports skin’s natural collagen production; Vitamin B3, great for brightening; and an age-defying Peptide that works with your body’s elastin to help it be more resilient. (Resilience is everything when it comes to your skin! You want to be able to tug at it and have it “bounce back.”)
What I like most is that the 3D line is a simple yet effective solution for those of us with lives so busy our heads are spinning most days. There are only three steps, morning and night (cleanser, day or night moisturizer — it comes with both — and eye cream) and it’s so nice that it almost feels like you’ve had a professional facial treatment.
Oh, and it’s $159 for all four products. I have a single moisturizer from another brand that costs almost that much on its own!
The real star of the show for me is the Mary Kay TimeWise 3D 4-in-1 Cleanser. It does a great job removing even photo shoot-heavy makeup that’s several layers thick and gently exfoliating to make my skin glow. As someone with combination skin, I appreciate that it doesn’t strip my skin of much-needed moisture but also doesn’t make me break out.
While you still need to purchase Mary Kay products through their roster of Independent Beauty Consultants, you can find one online instead of hoping one comes to your door.
Time’s still on my side, and I plan on keeping it that way with anti-aging products like the TimeWise 3D line from Mary Kay. Are you with me?

I tried Mary Kay when they first came out and I broke out bad and I have never tried them again, in fact I didn’t even know they were still around, wondering if I should risk trying again, hmmmm
Mommy Gearest says
My guess is that they would have a return policy in place for products that don’t agree with your skin.

Mary Kay has one of the best guarantees around…total satisfaction or your money refunded by your Consultant

Things have changed so much with Mary Kay! There are a number of products and formulas to help work with different skin types and age groups! In my experience any customers that I have had who have experienced a reaction was actually the Mary Kay products reacting with another product they were using. Mixing multiple brands of products is not ideal. I recommend trying to connect with a consultant near you and trying them out. There’s no cost to try the products and we also provide a 100 satisfaction guarantee!

You’d be happy that you did. A lot has changed over the years. We’ve been voted as a top 5 skincare brand globally recently!
