Whether you found this post because you’re on the hunt for honest Monos accessories reviews or because you read my Monos Luggage review post first and it led you here, get ready for another honest look at all of the Monos products I’ve tested out for months – or, in some cases, years.
If you’re looking for unpaid Monos suitcase reviews (including totes and duffels), you’ll want my original Monos Luggage post instead; but why not hang out here and check out some of the accessories before you go? Because once you’ve got a Monos bag, you’re definitely going to want to go full baller with some of the brand’s well-designed accessories as well. (Hint: they’re not all investment-worthy, though. And I’m going to give it to you straight, so read on.)
Monos Luggage review: Monos accessories
It seems that Monos comes out with new accessories a couple of times a year, so this post will evolve if and when I get my hands on new products. For now, I’ve played extensively with nine different Monos accessories and feel confident that I’ve spent enough time with them to give you the lowdown, in no particular order:
Monos accessories: Metro Toiletry Case (small and large)
More product info here
Sporting the same miracle zipper as the Metro Duffle that I got darn near poetic about in my Monos Luggage post, I am continually surprised by how much I can fit into this small toiletry case. I wrestled with whether or not to go for the larger size at first, but my usual packing motto is: the more space you have, the more you’ll use. So, initially, I went for the small and it holds enough toiletries and makeup for me to easily make it through a long weekend away.
If you’re not committed to carry-on travel, then go for the large — it’s only $20 more and it sports quite a bit of extra space and organization. It’s definitely not as compact but I can fit enough stuff in there for a full week of travel, minimum.
Monos accessories: Monos Packing Cubes review
More product info here
The Monos Packing Cubes four-pack fits all of Monos’s Carry-On sizes, while its six-pack fits all Check-In sizes. For the small price difference between the two, I went with the set of six. I’m not normally pro-packing cubes, but since these are compression packing cubes, I took a chance. They go nicely head-to-head with my “flat packing” space-saving method. Where they win is organization, which is what all packing cube aficionados love. At least with the compression feature, you’re not taking up more room in your luggage than you need to.
I really like that the cubes have a mesh panel so you can see what’s inside without having to open the whole darn thing. Plus, more magic zippers. What can I say? Monos does zippers REALLY well.
Would I buy more? Probably not. Yes, they will save you some space for sure (lots more if you’re not already a super efficient packer), but unless you’re using them in a bag that’s sized perfectly for your configuration of them – Tetris’ing them just so – you’ll probably find wasted pockets of space here and there. I tend to use just one at a time, like to keep all my undergarments together, rather than attempting to do the whole bag in cubes because I just don’t think it’s as compact as my own packing method.
The TL;DR? Organization aside, I still think my flat-packing method is more efficient. But having everyone’s bathing suits in one easy-to-find spot? Me likey.
Monos accessories: Garment Sleeve

The Monos garment sleeve isn’t your typical garment bag. It’s bespoke for Monos carry-on bags and open at the bottom. This is an interesting Monos accessory; it’s not your typical garment bag because it’s small enough to pack into a rolling carry-on suitcase and is open at the bottom in case your garment is longer that the sleeve itself. It’s got a few loops for hangers and I took a long white cotton dress shirt and a pair of dress pants away with me using it one weekend and it did a really good job keeping them wrinkle-free but also didn’t take up a whole lot of space in my Monos Hybrid Carry-On either.
If you’re a frequent business traveller who needs up to a maximum of three shirts to stay crisp, this’ll do the trick.
Monos accessories: Metro Hanging Toiletry Case
More product info here
Look, it isn’t cheap, but the Metro Hanging Toiletry Case has become my absolute favourite toiletry bag to take away with me if I’m going somewhere for a week or more. It’s spacious without being too huge for carry-on travel and there are so many helpful pockets and zippered compartments. It holds SO MUCH. Like, I’m not exaggerating when I say I love this Monos accessory.
It’s replaced the large Toiletry Bag on my longer trips (reviewed above) because it has better organization and a loop so you can hang it up at your destination. The only real downside to this Monos accessory is that there isn’t always something onto which the loop fits. Other hanging toiletry cases tend to have a little hanger on them, but this one doesn’t. I’ve been using it for at least six months and I’d say eight out of 10 times there’s a place to hang it, but it’s important to mention that there may be places where you simply can’t.
Monos accessories: Metro Cosmetic Case
More product info here
This Monos Luggage review is devoted to accessories, ensuring you have the information you need to make smart purchasing decisions. This Monos Cosmetic Case might be good for storing things at home on a vanity, but it’s my least-favourite Monos accessory to date. The shape is nice for display but impractical for travel. Rounded edges also mean that it’s hard to pack it efficiently, so it’s just a mish-mash of products all on top of each other. It can hold a fair bit, but it feels disorganized when you open it, you need to dig for products and it doesn’t fit well into carry-on bags because it takes up a lot of room; and, again with the rounded edges. It’s a no for me, dawg.
Monos accessories: Travel Jewelry Case
More product info here
I love this little guy! While it’s definitely not big enough for my costume jewelry pieces, Monos’s Travel Jewelry Case is the perfect size for fine jewelry. It holds enough of my essential rings, necklaces and bracelets that I could go away for a month and it would be enough. And yet, it’s tiny. Adorbz.
Monos accessories: Metro Folio Kit
More product info here
Ugh, here’s another one I wanted to love and had high hopes for that left me wondering if I’m just the wrong kind of traveller to properly review it. If you’re used to the space you have inside the Metro Classic Kit that came with your backpack or duffle, you will find this one has far less flexibility because it’s much flatter overall.
It sports the same QuickSnap feature as the Classic, but that’s pretty much where the similarities end as the Folio is more about organizing your ID (it’s got card slots for ID and credit cards) and/or tech cables. There are also elastic loops for regular writing tools or Apple Pens and charging cords, plus a removable key ring, and apparently it can also accommodate a mini tablet or e-reader, but I’m not convinced it could handle them if they have protective covers attached. I much prefer the Classic Kit but that’s probably because I tend to use it at my seat on an airplane to keep my essentials like passport, AirPods and iPhone close by.
Monos accessories: Metro Laptop Sleeve
More product info here
A laptop sleeve is a laptop sleeve is a laptop sleeve, right? WRONG! Unless your laptop sleeve also has a built-in trolley sleeve so it can slip over the handle of your suitcase, your commuting preparedness isn’t where it could be. The nice thing about that trolley sleeve is that it can also connect with a Metro Classic Kit or Metro Folio Kit if you’re not looping it to your luggage.
I do, however, think the price is kind of steep for what it is, but if you’re a regular commuter-by-air and prefer to have all of your pieces match, then at least you now have a Monos laptop bag option.
Monos accessories: Mini Crossbody
More product info here
You’ll also find the Mini Crossbody in my first Monos Luggage post, because it’s a crossover between bags and accessories.
This bag is definitely “mini,” so don’t expect it carry miracles. Think: super-slim wallet, a couple of keys and your iPhone. Maybe a pair of sunglasses if you have a fabric case and you take out the wallet and use the built-in card slots. If you need to bring along an external battery and AirPods, this ain’t the bag for you. But for quick city walks or evenings out at your destination? The Mini Crossbody is worth a look.
That’s it for now; if there are new Monos accessories that you’d like me to review, please note them in the comments and I’ll see what I can do. Happy travelling!
