What it’s about: A long, long time ago, there were cavemen. And, presumably, cavewomen. They coexisted with strange, prehistoric creatures and relied on brute strength and instinct to stay alive. The Croods are the last cave-family, and Grug — the dad — feeds his family stories to fill them with fear so they won’t stray far from home. The Croods fear change. But when Grug’s eldest daughter, Eep, becomes insatiably curious and wanders out alone one night, she stumbles upon Guy, who walks and runs upright and has discovered the magic of fire. As the world changes under their feet, The Croods must decide whether to remain hidden in fear or to follow Guy to tomorrow.
