THE PRODUCT
Jungle JumpaRoo kid jumper, US$360.
THE GOOD
The Jungle JumpaRoo is easy to assemble.
Hours of fun for your kids and their friends. Seriously, it’s like a beacon…the kids just go right for it and jump forever.
It’s kid-powered! There are no batteries, bells, whistles or motors of any kind. Love that.
Space-saving for smaller yards that can’t handle a trampoline.
Almost feels a bit safer than the average trampoline because the kids can’t accidentally bounce into each other and knock one another flat.
THE GAFFE
Really, really expensive. Every time a parent made a positive comment about the Jungle JumpaRoo, I asked them what kind of price range they’d be willing to play in to buy one. The average answer? $80. Someone once went as high as $200. And these are in Canadian dollars. When I told them the retail price, not one person said they’d fork out that kind of money…and these are not frugal people.
If you order it into Canada, expect a hefty $120 import/brokerage fee.
Awkward to move from one spot to another. It’s heavy and bulky, so forget getting it through your fence’s gate. And if you keep the JumpaRoo on grass too long, you get a pretty sweet doughnut ring from it. And if you move it to stones, it gets a bit wonky because it won’t be perfectly flat.
