When I’m asked to review something that I can’t test with my own family, I turn to my Facebook page and offer my readers a guest review opportunity.
Let these moms and dads help you see if a product’s worth its price tag. Guest reviewers receive the products for free and get to keep them in exchange for their honest reviews. Like my own reviews on Mommy Gearest, receiving a product does not automatically earn a positive review.
Angela L. received a Dress Me Up Organic Teething Bunny. She’s a mom to Big J (almost three) and Little N (almost eight months). An elementary school teacher who is on mat leave, Angela moved from the GTA last summer to Lethbridge, Alberta, for her husband’s job (read: super-supportive wife!). She loves to read and travel.
You can watch a quick video about this product here.

When I received the Organic Teething Bunny from Dress Me Up Organic in the mail, I thought it was cute, but I wasn’t sold. I thought other teething toys I had from my daughter’s teething days would do the job. In the last two weeks, two little nippers have come through and Little N was pretty miserable.
THE GOOD
When Little N saw the Organic Teething Bunny, he was in love! Even after the ears melted, the bunny was never far from him. He definitely preferred the cuddly bunny to the other teething toys we had.
I love that this product is made in Canada from organic and sustainable materials. They’re handmade in British Columbia. The cotton shell is 100 per cent certified organic USA cotton embroidered with one-of-a-kind free-form stitching. They’re actually made one at a time. The centre of the bunny is stuffed with Canadian wool, which is naturally antibacterial and keeps baby’s hands warm despite the bunny’s frozen ears. Who doesn’t love supporting a business that makes a product that is actually made in Canada using Canadian materials?
Giving him the bunny seemed to provide some relief. Thank goodness – for all of us. When I gave this to my son, he was chomping and sucking on the ears like nobody’s business. This Organic Teething Bunny is great because only the ears are cold. You wet the ears, throw it in the freezer and it’s frozen in no time. The body of the bunny never freezes, though, so my son could comfortably hold on to the bunny and suck away.
The size and design of the bunny teether is perfect for little hands.
Interestingly, the Organic Teething Bunny can double as baby’s first toothbrush!
If the bunny gets dirty, it just goes right into the wash with a regular load.
I found this toy to be more versatile than other teething toys. After teething is done, I could see this product becoming a snuggly toy with which your child would like to cuddle. At a price point of $16.95, I’m not sure I’d have bought it before having the opportunity to try it or hearing about it from a trusted source. But it’s definitely a great addition to a gift registry or as a gift for an expectant/new mom.
There’s a “leash“! Now your baby can teeth away and not throw away.
THE GAFFE
I feel like the ears become unfrozen quickly (slightly longer than a frozen face cloth). I’m not sure if there’s a way to add some organic filling to the ears to help them stay frozen longer.
