Tiffany and her kids are this month’s #DreamBigPrincess guest reviewers. Check out last month’s Ariel review, or the previous month’s Rapunzel review and then read on for YOUR child’s opportunity to be next month’s reviewer:
Tiffany has four children — three boys and a girl. Nathan is her eldest at 15, and then there are the little ones: Olivia (6), Dominic (4) and Alfonso (1).
She writes: “Princesses are a big deal in our family. We are princess-obsessed. I think we own almost every Disney Princess movie ever made, or at least close to all of them! We even have the older VHS tapes that I saved from when Nathan was younger. Remember those? Having to rewind the tape to rewatch your favorite parts? They are ancient but I still don’t have the heart to get rid of them. So many memories! I’ve been watching and falling in love with Disney Princesses my entire life.”

When I found out that Tiana was up for Hasbro’s Princess-a-month campaign I knew I had to jump on the opportunity. Both my son and daughter love Tiana as well as The Princess and the Frog movie. I must have watched it more than a dozen times.
I was ecstatic when I was chosen to test and review this month. Not only is Tiana one of my kids’ favourite princesses, but it is also my daughter’s birthday month. It was an extra little surprise for her as it arrived just in time for her birthday.
When the box arrived, the kids ran over to see what was inside. They were so excited and smiling ear to ear. When finally got the box open they shrieked in excitement.
Here is what was inside:
- Disney Princess Royal Shimmer Tiana Doll
- Disney Princess Cinderella Magical Story Skirt Doll
- Disney Princess Little Kingdom Rapunzel’s Floating Dreams Boat
- Disney Princess Little Kingdom Fashion Change Tiana
THE GOOD
Disney Princess Royal Shimmer Tiana Doll
- Great for imaginative play based on the beautifulPrincess Tiana, from Disney’s animated movie The Princess and The Frog
- Dazzling Sparkly dress with Princess Tiana’s signature colours
- The tiara and shoes are removable
- She has a gorgeous face that looks just like her in the movie
- The dress is removable so she can borrow dresses from other Disney Princesses
Disney Princess Cinderella Magical Story Skirt Doll
- Beautiful and fashionable dress in Cinderella’s signature blue and white
- Includes a fun water wand, which can be used to reveal a scene on her dress!
- She comes with a removable dress, headband, necklace and shoes for a somewhat customizable look
- This one was my son’s favourite; he loved watching the scene appear before his eyes on her dress
Disney Princess Little Kingdom Rapunzels Floating Dreams Boat
- The dolls in this entire collection have interchangeable dresses that you can mix and match
- Comes with a boat that you can decorate with the interchangeable snap-in pieces. It comes with four snap-ins to mix and match to customize a unique look
- The boat actually floats in water
Disney Princess Little Kingdom Tiana Doll
- Again, the dolls in this entire collection have interchangeable pieces. You can mix and match the dresses as well and the other accessories that it comes with, so your fun goes farther
- This one comes with an extra dress. She can switch from her everyday look to a princess ball gown
- Includes Tiana doll, 2 bodices, 2 peplums, 2 Skirts and 3 snap-ins
- This was my daughter’s favourite; she loved the extra dress and accessories
THE GAFFE
Disney Princess Royal Shimmer Tiana Doll
- The hair is tied up so you can’t really braid it or brush it
- Her shoes kept falling off while my kids were playing with her
- The gloves are permanent; not removable at all
Disney Princess Cinderella Magical Story Skirt Doll
- The wand is hard to use. You need to put your hand under the dress to make sure it is nice and flat before swiping the wand across it to reveal the scene; your child is definitely going to need your help with this
Disney Princess Little Kingdom Rapunzel’s Floating Dreams Boat
- The pieces are extremely small. My kids will likely lose a few pieces by the end of the week
- I wish it came with some sort of small container to keep the extra clothes and snap-ins together
Disney Princess Little Kingdom Tiana Doll
- Again, the pieces are very tiny. The bodice is smaller than the size of my baby fingernail.
- If you have younger children like I do, you really need to keep watch to make sure they don’t get hold of it
THE GEARS
- Disney Princess Royal Shimmer Tiana Doll = 3.5/5
- Disney Princess Cinderella Magical Story Skirt Doll = 4/5
- Disney Princess Little Kingdom Rapunzel’s Floating Dreams Boat = 4.5/5
- Disney Princess Little Kingdom Tiana Doll = 4.5/5

I’m from Kingston, ON and I have a 3 year old daughter who adores the Disney Princesses. So much so that we are having a Princess party this weekend to celebrate her recent birthday. I can’t put into words how excited she is that the “real” Cinderella is coming to her party! Cinderella has been her favourite from the first time we watched the movie together. Her favourite part of the movie is watching Cinderella’s fairy godmother transform the animals & the pumpkin into the coach and horses & footmen. I can only imagine her delight if she were magically transformed into Cinderella. My daughter loves to play both independently and with others. Many of the games or stories she creates involves dressing up as a princess and she would be over the moon with excitement is we were to chosen to write a guest review on Mommy Gearest.

Hi! My 3 little princesses and I live in LaSalle, Ontario. Like I said, we have not 1, not 2 but 3 princesses in our household (wait, could it actually be 4 princesses- hey I love princesses too. Or you know what I’ll stick to being the queen of the house 😉 We have Layla who is 8- she loves being Elsa as she is the oldest, but she also loves Belle and every single other princess. Serein who just turned 6- Anna, Ariel and again every other princess. And last but definitely not least Mariam who is 3 and a half. She loves, loves, loves Aurora, Cinderella and Sofia. But she too also loves all the other ones as well! Do you know what a treat this would be for my girls?! They have a big doll house and many of the princess dolls and we always watch the movies and reenact it with the dolls. My girls AND I (lol) have most of the Disney princess songs memorized. It’s great that you are always offering contests like this. I wish I wish with all my heart that we are picked!!! Thank you and good luck to everyone else.

I live in Courtice Ontario with my two princess daughters who are 7 and 8! If she could magically transform into any princess she would find the fairy god mother and have her bibiti-boppiti-boo her into Cinderella! She loves absolutely everything about Cinderella, from the fact that she looks after all of the animals to her beautiful gown. There isn’t a day when she can’t be found dancing and singing her way around the house playing some sort of immaginry game with her dolls.

My 6 year old daughter is all about princesses! Princess Aurora has always been her favorite, but she met Princess Ariel the other night at a local Fiesta function and the look on her face as she walked around with her and sang a song was absolutely priceless!
